Yesterday, I had the worst experience of taking an exam. Ever. Yesterday, I sat for two subjects, subjects that I don't normally study at school, science and account. I'm not gonna describe how the science test went 'cause it was account that ruined my day. Period.
So, account test began at 2.00 p.m. yesterday afternoon. Much to my dismay, the test didn't take place in my own class, but at the dewan kuliah above the canteen with everyone else who is taking account because that means we were gonna be watched by more than one teacher which makes helping each other hard. Clement was shooed back to his seat two tables behind me after the teacher checked the seating arrangements and we were supposed to help each other. When I got the test paper, aside from the first and third question, all the other four questions were questions I never really got to learn. Instantly I knew I was doomed to fail this time. At least last time I thought I knew how to do the questions correctly, but this time... After finishing the first question, I found out that it was not balanced at the end. I check frantically but to no avail, my mind wasn't working right at that time due to the fatigue of having to stay back. After finishing the third question, that was pretty much it. I spent the remaining time thinking the consequnces of failing this subject, wishing that I hadn't took this subject, thinking why is the test paper so damn difficult and scribbling whatever I could on the paper. Halfway, Osama even went home because he only knew how to do the first question. Finally, time to pass up the paper. With no help at all, I left the fourth question blank and only did some scribbling for the second and fifth question. I just didn't give a fuck and passed up the paper. After the test, my friends and I were comparing how terrible we each did for our account. Then, I went home, told my dad what happened, and luckily he didn't give me a bad scolding of any sort. After that, I took a nap to clear my mind. After revising for the BM paper today, that was pretty much my day.
Never in my life of taking exams have I felt so helpless before. The feeling is pretty much like seeing someone you love getting in harm yet you can't do no shit to help them. I can't even figure out what answer can I write simply on the paper. That was how bad it was. I guess I have to do more account exercises and attend tuition three or four times a week from now on. I'm running out of time, because SPM is less that 50 days away! So please, someone, tell me how to master this subject other than the methods I stated above!! I will show unlimited gratitude towards you and will remember you as the person who saved my life and face should I get an A1 for this subject in SPM. Maybe I could even teach you how to master other subjects, such as chemistry etc.
Now, I gotta figure out how to handle the reactions of my account teacher and mum, especially, when they know my marks (and study for next Wednesday's biology)...
Yeah, doing many many exercises and memorising the formula's and steps of doing account questions are crucial, very crucial. As practise makes perfect. :D
