Anyways, we arrived at the police HQ, and that was my first time setting foot into police grounds (I'm a good boy, okay). Since Navien was not at home at that time, his mom was kind enough to invite us to have a seat at his home first at the "Limau" flat. Hilton the hotel manager and John Justin joined us too.
Navien's house on the 2nd floor.Inside Navien's house, we had to pour our own drinks, contradicting to the practice where the hosts were the ones serving us.
Anyway, we expressed our "unpleased feelings" by wolfing down the tidbits on the table. If my mom was there, I guess she would've gave me a pinch for not showing some manners. After a while, Navien returned home, and we were treated to a small buffet with dishes like mutton and chicken curry, nasi kunyit and of course, how could you miss out on roti canai?
Miah and Jepp enjoying their food. Miah and I went for three rounds of food.
The big boss in the middle playing host to Jepp. John on the left.
MIAH (I just love calling him that, out loud)!!!
The other guests. The woman in black with the glasses (Ses's kindergarten teacher) keeps on calling Ses "handsome boy" (ugh) and laughs like a maniac.
Me and Fat Boy.After a little chit chat, the four of us went home in Miah's car again. This time I did not have to stay in the car boot again, but I do have to squeeze in the rear seat with three other guys.
When I reached home, I picked up the mail, and saw the distinct heading of a certain magazine, meant for me.
I couldn't believe it. After waiting for four agonizing months, finally my first issue of SLAM magazine has arrived! I decided to subscribe to SLAM after finding out that the subscription price was around RM 10 lower than buying it off the stands.
Although this issue was released a month ago (new issue out just today, with Bron and Shaq on the cover), but I was still thrilled to receive it within a month of issue, rather than the 8 to 12 weeks stated delivery time for international orders.Just one thing...
Next time, I hope that the mailman will be more careful in handling my beloved magazine...
