IN-ter-CEPTION

Hey peeps. Now here's this movie that's been spinning people's heads right round, called Inception. After enduring weeks of people's comments on how awesome and ingenious the movie is, yesterday as soon as class ended at 12, I managed to catch the 1.10 pm movie at GSC Cinemas Alamanda Putrajaya. Going together with me were a huge crowd of 13 more friends all from KTT.

Enough of that, getting to the review now. I will also provide my own explanation of the film if you don't mind the spoilers.

The film centers around Cobb, who's an "extractor", meaning he invades people's dreams to steal confidential ideas. One day he is approached by the mysterious Saito, who offers him a job which instead of stealing an idea, he is required to perform the task of "inception", that is to plant an idea into the head of a corporate rival, in exchange for his old and peaceful life as a family man.

Truth be told, I never paid attention to this film before people started giving rave reviews about it. When I looked it up on Wikipedia, I was astonished to find out the director was Christopher Nolan, the very same genius that gave us one of the best superhero films ever, The Dark Knight. Just like films made by James Cameron, Christopher Nolan films are all ensured in terms of quality. It was said that he started development of this film roughly 10 years ago, almost as long as the time needed by Cameron to develop Avatar. It really does take a genius to think up the awesomely complex rules and how things click in the dream world. And that anti-gravity fighting scene plus the awesome special effects are worth every cent. No doubt I'd give this film a 5/5 rating.

*SPOILER ALERT*

So, wanna hear my side of the story? Well my explanation is, throughout the whole movie, Cobb was actually dozing off and dreaming the events from the whole film on the plane from Sydney to LA. So, it was one wild dream for Cobb, but nevertheless it was still a dream.

So, can you provide your side of the story? I'd love to see how you all interpret the film.
